TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

1.- The OASTH website www.oasth.gr recognises and respects users rights to privacy in accordance to the legislation in force. Website visitors/users are obliged to carefully read the Terms and Conditions of Use referred to here. Use of the website presumes that the visitor/user has read, understood and accepted all the terms and conditions of use. In the event that visitors/users do not agree with the terms of use set out in the present document, they are obligated not to use the services and content of the website. The website www.oasth.gr may change the terms of use at any time and users/visitors should regularly check for possible changes. As long as they continue to use the services and content of the website it follows that they accept the terms of use, otherwise they are obliged to forgo using or visiting the website.

2.- Apart from explicitly mentioned exceptions (third party intellectual rights), all of the website’s content (texts, graphics, images, maps, diagrams, bus lines, routes, etc.) is the intellectual property of the Organisation of Urban Transportation of Thessaloniki (OASTH) and is protected by the relevant provisions of national, EU and international law. OASTH holds all the intellectual property rights of the content of the website and of any copies created from it. The website’s content is provided to visitors/users for personal use only. Any other use requires the written explicit permission of the owner or the holder of the intellectual property rights. Visitors/users must understand and accept that they are not permitted to modify, sell, resell or exploit the content of the website, in any way, in part or in whole. Other products or services referred to in the website’s pages which carry the trademarks of organisations, companies, partner agencies-bodies, unions or publications, are the intellectual and industrial property of those bodies and those bodies have the relevant responsibility of their trademarks. 

3.- The management and protection of visitor/user personal data is governed by the terms of this agreement and by the relevant provisions of national, EU and international law currently in effect that relate to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. In all events, OASTH reserves the right to change the terms of personal data protection, whenever it is deemed necessary, always according to the relevant legal framework in force. Website users are kindly requested to check the terms of use at regular intervals for possible changes. Continued use of the website requires that users accept all possible modifications to the terms of use.

Any kind of personal data as well as any other information is collected by the website only when the users/visitors themselves provide it voluntarily and is used exclusively to better provide on-line services. Under no circumstances may OASTH make available, sell or rent, or in any other way transfer or make public to third persons the personal data of visitors/users, without prior consent. One exception to this rule is if the publication of data is explicitly requested for legal purposes in which case it will be given solely and exclusively to the relevant authorities. OASTH may process parts or the whole body of data visitors/users have voluntarily sent for statistics-keeping purposes and in order to improve the services-information provided.

OASTH may collect personal recognition data from website users by using relevant technologies, such as cookies and/or monitoring IP addresses. Cookies are small pieces of data sent from the website and stored in the hard disc of the user’s computer, with data/information about user activity, and they concern only the specific webpage or website the user visited and through which the relevant hypertext file has been stored on the user’s hard disc, and they do not have access to information in any document or file on the user’s computer. Cookie files do not contain identifiers of users’ physical identity and they are readable only by the website that created them, therefore the cookie file is not used during the user’s visits to other webpages or websites which may also use cookies. Visitors/users have the option to block the relevant cookies’ function on their browser so that cookies are not stored on their computer’s hard disc or, alternatively, they may request their browser to inform them every time a website requests to store or read cookies on and/or from their hard drive, so that they may allow or block such action. Cookies are used to facilitate the visitor/user’s use of specific services, as well as for statistical purposes in order to define areas which are useful or popular with the aim of improving the services offered through a specific webpage.  If the visitor/user of the specific services and pages does not want to be identified through the use of cookies, they will not have further access to these services.

4.- All the information in this website is provided on an  “as is” and “as released” basis. Although OASTH makes every effort to assure that the information provided in its website is accurate, complete, precise and updated, it provides no guarantee, explicit or not, concerning the validity, accuracy, integrity, currency or appropriateness of this content for any use, application or purpose. OASTH will not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any actual or consequential damages/losses, negligence or any other tortious action, arising out of or in connection to the visit/use of this website.

5.- OASTH makes every possible effort to assure the smooth functioning of its website, although it does not guarantee that the pages, services and content will be provided at all times, without errors, free of viruses or other similar elements, or that errors will be corrected or that answers will be given to all questions posed. As a result, it is not responsible for any possible cease of function of the website and the services provided therein, or for any kind of damage caused to the user by its discontinued function. The cost of possible corrections or services to customers is undertaken by the visitor/user and under no conditions by OASTH.

6.- OASTH provides the option of access to third party websites via relevant links which have been set up exclusively to facilitate visitors/users to the website. The use of these links does not constitute an indication of OASTH’s approval or acceptance of the content of the relevant websites and OASTH is not responsible for any loss or damage that may be caused by using these links to other websites, or for the content of the webpages, or for their privacy protection practices or for the accuracy of the material that exists in them, or for the way they manage their online visitors.

7.- In closing, the information we gather is used solely for the purposes and in the ways described in this document and only in full implementation of and compliance with relevant Greek legislation and, particularly, with Law 2121/1993 (on intellectual property rights), Law 2472/97 (on the protection of the individual from the processing of personal data), the regulations of the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission and the other authorised public and recognised private agencies/bodies which are related to the purpose and object of OASTH’s business activities, as well as international laws which have been incorporated into Greek domestic law or prevail over Greek domestic law. Minors have access to our website only with the consent of a parent/guardian. 8.- This user agreement is subject to Greek legislation, to the relevant international treaties and to the directives and regulations of European Law; it is interpreted based on the principles of good faith, of transaction ethics and of the financial and social purpose of the rights involved. In the event that any provision of the above terms is considered contradictory to the letter of the law or is rendered non-applicable, it ex officio ceases to be in effect without affecting the validity and enforcement of the remaining terms. No modification of the terms of the specific agreement will be taken into account nor will be considered a part of the agreement, if they have not been issued in writing and have not been incorporated into said agreement. The courts responsible for resolving any possible disputes that may occur from the present agreement are the Thessaloniki Courts.
